11/13/2023 0 Comments Secrets puerto vallarta bay swim outThe beach is adjacent to the pool (stand corrected 7 pools) if you are a beach water lover this isn't the place for you but if you love the sand, beach volley ball or just relaxing on a lazy chair on the beach you will love it. I counted 6 pools one swim up bar where we spent most of our time meeting great people and getting happy. My favorite was the Japanese their shrimp tempura is to die for. Peak season the service at the restaurants will be slow and seem understaffed but your on vacation just relax get a drink while you wait and don't allow the moments to be robbed. 7 restaurants so if you don't like one there is sure to be 2 or 3 you will love. Now if it doesn't fit in your budget it's not necessary because it doesn't in anyway effect the royal service and pampering you will receive on any level as guest on the Adult Secret side. Some may say that preferred is not worth the extra cash but will feel it was and would only stay preferred. We booked as preferred guest in the secret adults only side of the sister resort "Now" that host families. This is how I would describe this place and this is why we returned for our 1st year anniversary along with the offer of 2 nights free on our return. Fun, passion igniting, endless food options, burning desire to return. Pampered, Feeling of Royalty, Catered to our every needs, Never lacked anything.Romantic, Tranquil, Comfort, Relaxation, Where every guest are treated as a King or Queen. You can't go wrong staying here!! More Show less The staff was wonderful, the food is delicious, and we were entirely at ease on our trip. I really can't say enough good things about this resort. Omar & Alex really took care of us (and the other couples staying in the swim-outs next to us). I think this was the most frustrating part as you're paying more for these rooms but struggle to get bar service. My husband realized that we only seemed to get bar service once we provided an additional tip to the waiters. We had expected to receive bar service at the pool (we did at Silversands in Cancun). Finally, this was the second time we have stayed in a swim-out suite. They is basically no sound proofing between floors, and you can easily hear all of the noise going on outside and in the hallway. On our last night, someone was using a leaf blower around 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. This woke us up one night, but we heard others mentioning it as well. We only had a couple of small issues - it seems that they do some maintenance work on some of the rooms in the night. This was actually a blessing though because it didn't cause us to be entirely exhausted by mid-afternoon. Our suite was in the main building, which meant that our part of the pool/patio was not in sunlight until 12:30 to 1:00 in the afternoon though. We really enjoyed the extra space as most of the patios had much less space. We were in room 1101, which included an extra long patio leading up to the pool. The shower was fabulous as was the jetted tub. Ladies, the lighting in the bathroom is poor when you're trying to get ready. There are simple, essentially see-through curtains to provide privacy (except for the toilet which is in a separate room). The bathroom provides very little privacy, just as the pictures show. Being that I frequently read what others have to say on here before choosing a resort, I'll hit on some of things I wish I had known. It was wonderful! This is our third different Secrets resort we have stayed at, and we're ready to go try yet another! Our room was great - it was clean and plenty spacious. My husband & I just returned from a 6-night stay in one of the swim-out suites. This woke us up one night, but we heard others mentioning.
